home search guided advanced topical bands user login register " g renoble astrop h ysics and planet o logy s olid s pectroscopy and t hermodynamics" database service last news: january 31st 2018: is one of the database of sshade (www.sshade.eu) that just opened to public. this database will stay open until all its data are transfered to @ sshade february 4th 2014: v0.6 online! september 25th 2012: first public version of online! the service contains: an experimental database on "spectroscopy of solids" of planetary and astrophysical interests. it covers different types of natural and synthetic solid samples (molecular solids / ices, minerals and rocks, organics and carbonaceous materials, meteorites, ...) measured with various spectroscopic techniques from the vuv to the mm ranges (transmission, reflectance, raman and fluorescence emissions, microscopy, ...) and providing their spectra, as well as a list of their absorption bands (molecular solids only). this solid spectroscopic database provides to the community various sets of laboratory data necessary for the analysis of the numerous spectroscopic observations of surfaces, atmospheric aerosols and grains of the solar system objects (planets, satellites, asteroids, comets, tno, ...), and of interstellar and circum-stellar grains generated by the planetary space missions, space-born observatories and ground-based telescopes. it will be also of strong use by scientists performing laboratory experiments on solids samples or analyzing samples of extraterrestrial matter. part of these data will be also useful for many terrestrial studies (glaciology and snow studies, aerosols, geology, etc.). this database is online since september 25th 2012 and in the process of data ingestion. a database on the "physical properties molecular solids" based on bibliographical reviews and critical analyses of published data (measurements, theoretical calculations ...) completed by our own measurements and computations. it should to allow astrophysicists, planetary scientists and geophysicists to model the various physical processes of the universe involving molecules in the condensed state and their exchanges with the gas phase. the development of this database still needs to be funded. content the spectroscopic database of provides experimental data and products from ipag on: transmission spectra of ices, sulfur compounds, minerals, organic and meteoritic matters in the wavelength range from the visible to the far-ir. absorption coefficients and optical constants of ices, bidirectional diffuse reflection spectra of granular surfaces (hydrated minerals, adsorption on minerals, ices, natural and synthetic organic materials, meteorites, ...) from visible to near-ir. bidirectional reflection spectra of granular surfaces simulated with a radiative transfer model (spectrimag) using laboratory optical constant data. infrared micro-spectroscopy of minerals, natural organics, and meteorites. raman and fluorescence micro-spectroscopy of cosmomaterials (meteorites, idps, stardust, ...) and planetary analogs. lists of vibration bands of molecular solids and molecules adsorbed on solids, from visible to far-ir. the database still contain only a small number of these spectroscopic data compared to the selection of the best data accumulated during the last 20 years of spectroscopic experiments at lgge-lpg-ipag: > 2000 spectra and spectral products for > 120 synthetic and natural materials in various solid states and temperatures (out of > 25000 recorded spectra). the data feeding of the database with only fully validated data is in progress. but it is a tremendous and long term work! it will strongly depend on the scientific manpower devoted to this service in the coming years for data analysis, validation, and documentation. but 2012-2013 should be quite productive! current state: (v0.5, beta version) has been opened to the public on september 25th 2012. v0.6 (including datamodel and software features updates) has been released on february 4th 2014. http://.osug.fr (this page!) the current web interface provides users with a number of tools for searching, displaying and exporting spectra: two guided spectra search in 10 steps (starting either from "species" or from "spectrum type") an advanced spectra search with 25 optional search fields a topical search (species, samples, spectra, (band list), publications, ...) an interactive visualization tool of spectra and associated information synthetic tables and detailed information pages on the sample (sample / layers / materials / constituents / species) the experiment the instrument and instrument parameters the spectrum the associated publications many links between selected data and other closely linked data. a download basket for data export (choice of units, range, format, ...) a user login and an export history login (registration) is not necessary for search and display of spectra but only to access detailed information and for data export. this beta version, under stabilization phase, may still contain some bugs. please report them through the ‘contact’ form (at bottom of page) future extensions the database capabilities and tools will continue to evolve. the main developments in progress are: addition of a “band list” search (database already implemented) addition of export formats: votable, fits, ... addition of other types of samples: meteorites and complex organic matters (draft of datamodel) documentation • contact • history • credits • statistics
